We’ve all heard of a marathon,
triathlon and duathlon, but what about a Pramathlon?
IFDS loves to support
charity and we’re always up for a good challenge. This month we’re combining the two to take on a Pramathlon, which will see us racing around Basildon Sporting Village’s 400m athletics track whilst pushing the mother (pun intended) of all vehicles – prams.
What on earth is a Pramathlon?
Kicking off on 21 June, this mammoth effort spans 12 hours and involves teams of two or three IFDS team members running, jogging or walking their way around the track, keeping their prams moving at all times. It doesn’t matter what you do to get around the track, as long as you and your trusty pram keep on rolling.
The event incorporates a whole lot of fun, fitness, and most importantly fundraising, with all proceeds raised from the Pramathlon supporting
St Luke’s Hospice and
CLIC Sargent.
The details
Each individual who takes part will be booked into a
30 minute slot, with multiple time slots available for participants who are feeling particularly sporting. Thule are providing the prams and we’re providing the enthusiasm – all we ask from you is a donation to help motivate us around the track.
Please help us reach our fundraising goals and support two brilliant charities by
donating here!
Good luck to all our brilliant competitors – we’ll be cheering you on come 21 June.
