Team Manager, Deal Amends

The role of the Deal Amend Team Manager is to manage and provide operational and technical direction to a team of administrators responsible for the completion of all corrective processes undertaken by the Deal amend team with minimal financial risk.

Main Responsibilities

As the Team Manager you be responsible for ensuring DST is meeting client expectations in line with Service Level Agreement & Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Regulations.

You will oversee the team ensuring all work processed within the Deal Amends Team is completed in line with Management Company SLA's and regulatory deadlines.

Other responsibilities include:

Develop staff: Oversee the review of individual performance (monthly 1:1s), training plans and coaching sessions, side-by-side monitoring to motivate and develop the team. Encourage personal development at all levels within the team

Customer service: Ensure the team provides an effective & efficient service function to DST clients, using a range of communication methods. Interact with other departments to encourage team work, best practice and resolution of issues

Process management: Ensure processes and procedures are appropriately controlled and monitored. Actively identify processes carrying risk, review and implement robust solutions to mitigate the risk and communicate change appropriately

Effective organisation: Respond positively to the goals of the Technical dealing team and actively add to the success of the department. Meet regularly with line manager to discuss issues and ideas.

Complete any other appropriate ad hoc tasks as directed by your manager.

  • You will be expected to motivate and engage with staff team to ensure the success of the technical dealing team.
  • Proactively support team to ensure high performance is maintained
  • Ensure regulatory deadlines, KPIs and SLAs are achieved.
  • Maintain adequately controlled and fully documented procedures
  • Actively look at ways to improve and/or automate existing processes
  • Build strong working knowledge of team activities and processes
  • Work closely with technical team to ensure successful implementation of new business and fund events

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong, hands on people management experience; a track record in engaging with and motivating team members (essential)
  • IOC or equivalent, or commitment to study for IOC or equivalent. All Modules (3) to be completed within the T&C 2 year timescale (essential)
  • Demonstrable business experience in a client facing and team management role (essential)
  • Ability to analyse and appraise data, identify potential areas of risk, suggest controls and/or improvements to processes (essential)
  • Experience in client facing role (essential)
  • Experience in Financial Services Investment Industry (strongly preferred)
  • Fluid verbal & written communication / meeting skills and experience liaising with all levels both internally and externally (essential)
  • Excel / data extraction and analysis (essential)
