Senior Technical Associate, Distributions

Distributions are responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all our management companies distribution/dividend payments which have to be paid to all its Unit Trust, OEIC, Investment Trust and ISA unit holders. The role requires excellent planning and organisation skills as there are a number of key tasks that will need to be completed within SLA and regulatory timeframes.

Distribution's is a very diverse and interesting role which touches on a number of areas of the business. You will therefore from time to time find yourself having to engage with a number of internal areas as well as external contacts such as Fund Accountants, Trustees and our print provider.

As a Distributions Support Expert you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the team acting as a point of reference/escalation to all other staff.

  • Processing distribution events using FAST and other appropriate systems across all management companies under direction of a team leader
  • Act as a Subject matter expert
  • Quality check work undertaken within the team
  • Deputise for Team Leader if and when required
  • Ensure adherence to controls & procedures at all times
  • Achievement of agreed SLA processing standards for all clients
  • Timely identification/resolution/escalation of issues
  • Effective departmental, internal & external communication
  • Raising initiatives for processing enhancements (Team/Department)
  • Maintaining/writing team Procedures
  • Acting as a point of reference to other staff within team
  • Resolving of complex queries
  • Providing process overviews to Auditors/ManCo's


  • Reference salary based on experience and in line with the ACE salary progression scheme

Main Responsibilities

  • Processing distributions in FAST
  • Completion and checking of rates
  • Completing Output work for transfer to DST
  • Requesting Trustee Funding
  • Completion of Managers Report orders
  • Completion & authorising manual payments
  • Reviewing and checking of Projected Figures
  • Archiving
  • Procedures
  • Quality checking of work
  • Staff Training
  • Act as department representative and SME
  • Audit preparation (CASS/Non-CASS) and meeting attendance
  • Ad-hoc tasks for Expert level

Ideal Candidate

  • IT/Keyboard skills and proficiency in the use of MS Office packages.
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal reasoning and numeric skills
  • Experience in Financial Services Investment Industry
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • IOC or equivalent, or commitment to study for IOC or equivalent.
  • Detailed knowledge of ISA, Unit Trust, OEIC or Investment Trust administration
  • Detailed understanding of FCA regulatory environment - (Desirable)
  • Experience in training others - (Desirable)
