Senior Demand Manager

DST Systems are looking for a Senior Manager with good IT analytical skills to have oversight responsibility for demand of existing client portfolio. This role will be work within our wealth management team.

This role can be full or Part time based on 3 days per week.

Main Responsibilities

  • Management oversight responsibility of demand view; Responsible for the view of demand at client, portfolio and detail level. Chair, lead & document meetings relating to demand management including internal and external demand management meetings and decision making forums.
  • Demand management data governance; Work with Change initiation peers to lead & implement good governance for data relating to change items. Ensure data integrity and quality of data by reviewing, identifying issues and seeking explanations. Creation of demand management data / views in order to facilitate capacity management within Inception and across business areas.
  • Review and analyse demand metrics; Lead on analysis of change and demand metrics. Co-ordinate with senior business stakeholders to ensure that the demand process is functioning optimally. Ensure that change is properly prioritised so the biggest benefits/ outcomes are prioritised. Maintain, measure and evaluate data/metrics.
  • Inception controls; Work with Change Initiation peers to lead and implement Inception controls. Control processes & meetings to be in place to ensure change items/ JIRA board is accurate and progressing against strategic plans.
  • Identify and initiate change; Oversight of & participate in reviews and identify areas where there is an opportunity for change
  • Facilitation of stakeholder discussions for change; Chair Inception forums, workshops & governance meetings where wider Inception team members, business, client and change representatives discuss change requests and potential solutions.
  • Demand and capacity management; Creation of demand management data / views in order to facilitate capacity management within Inception and across business areas.
  • Estimation of the cost of change; Support Inception team & lead business change analysts with Identification of areas involved in change and gathering estimates, from technical, operational change and one off operational costs e.g. mailings. Work closely with PMO to ensure estimates are converted to costs & estimate principles are applied. All costs to be agreed via formal sign off routes, appropriate governance followed & communicated to internal or external Stakeholders.
  • Share knowledge and mentor team members as required; Provide coaching and guidance/expertise on business change processes/ methodology and Inception JIRA board departmental/team procedures
    Strategic thinking; Assist in developing strategies and objectives in the areas of capacity planning, portfolio roadmap, product/ service improvements. Work with your peers in the Inception team to support strategic outcomes.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven IT analytical skills based on various analysis methodologies
  • Strong and proven interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent understanding of business change functions within the SDLC including strategic, business and IT change analysis

Desirable

  • Extensive in-depth experience within the UK Platform / Wealth Management industry with full lifecycle experience of delivering platform solutions across multi asset types
  • Understanding of key technology providers and varying operating models
  • APMG Change Management Foundation/Practitioner qualification or equivalent
  • Sound understanding of DST systems and technology infrastructure
  • Experience of different project methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall
