Senior Associate - Cash Management - Brentwood

Grade: S2

The role:

To collate Audit evidence in relation to Cash BAU processes, showing on-going CASS Compliance

Knowledge of CASS Timed Payments with the understanding of underlying client level detail

Able to collate evidence accurately and in timely SLA's to meet Client's expectations and KPI's

To Understand each timed payment model for evidencing and how the CASS processes link to each movement for compliant purposes

To be a contact point for various parts of the business, assisting with queries and speaking to Management Companies and Auditors to provide oversight on sampling requests and Cash Management CASS processes

To support the Cash Management CASS Audit & Compliance team with complex sampling requests and queries

To have knowledge and oversight of Cash Management BAU and Bespoke processes for Sample and Audit requests.

Able to meet tight deadlines and manage and meet client/Auditor expectations

To support India Cash on the off-shored sampling evidence processes

Oversee India Audit and Compliance team, assisting with queries, quality checking work & saving down evidence in database for Management Companies and Auditors


  • Is responsible for delivering quality standards for the functions administered within the Cash Management CASS Audit & Compliance Team, which includes oversight of any offshore processes:
  • Customer service - To ensure the team provides an effective & efficient service function to Clients via the Oversight meetings and over the telephone, and for CASS compliant Companies
  • Effective Organisation - Respond positively to the goals of the team and actively add to the success of the CM CASS A&C Team and the Cash Management Department as a whole
  • Service delivery - ensuring IFDS meets client expectation in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • To support the Cash Management Senior Managers to ensure processes and procedures are appropriately controlled, monitored and documented
  • Staff training & development where appropriate, and oversee the teams process in respect of quality when Audit and Sampling
  • Relevant staff are trained and competent
  • Accountable for identifying to the Cash Management Lead Specialists Learning and Development needs and helps facilitate training. Includes T&C requirements
  • Develops & improves client relations with specific emphasis on client and investor satisfaction
  • Maximises business opportunities through building & developing positive customer and business relationships
  • Carries out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed

  • To comply with all Client Money and Money Laundering FCA regulations
  • To ensure all daily processing deadlines are met
  • To carry out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.


  • To exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas the role is responsible for are organised and controlled.
  • To uphold responsibilities for risk and business continuity practices as appropriate to the position the role holds within the organisation.
  • To comply with the regulatory regimes in which IFDS operates, with particular consideration given to relevant Client Asset, Data Protection and Financial Crime Prevention regulations, as appropriate to the above role.
  • To attend Client Asset training. Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with established Client Asset procedures & controls, and that any changes to activities are considered for Client Asset implications.
  • To escalate issues or potential breaches to Line Manager, to enable consideration for Client Asset implications.
  • To provide input regarding the effectiveness and design of Client Asset procedures, controls and MI, including contributing to the annual review of procedures.

Skills and Experience:

  • Good keyboard skills to include awareness Word and Excel.
  • Good Verbal reasoning and numeric skills.
  • Experience in Financial Services Investment Industry.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative when required
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Good Knowledge of CASS processes

Nice to haves:

  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of PEP, ISA, Unit Trust, OEIC or Investment Trust administration
  • Knowledge of FCA regulatory environment
  • IOC or equivalent or commitment to study for IOC
