Senior Associate, Asset Servicing Technical Support

To assist in the management and implementation of change within Asset Servicing - specifically in relation to new business, fund events, process changes, regulatory change and system releases, as well as departmental quality initiatives.

  • Grade - Senior Technical Associate (H/P2)

  • 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (Secondment)

Main Responsibilities


  • Covers Fund launches, closures and mergers, as well as other large projects
  • Responsible for collating requirements from CRM's / Project Managers
  • Identifying potential areas of risk
  • Communicating impacts of event to BAU Teams
  • Providing support on the day of the event to ensure successful completion / act as a referral point should issues occur

Data Queries / Error Analysis/Builds:

  • Run/build data queries from core systems relating to errors as required
  • Complete calculations and analysis on this data in a consistent and structured manner to determine the impact of the error and corrections
  • Answer queries on the data from external & internal parties
  • Build tools to support processing team requirements

Roll out of system releases:

  • Review test output against requirements
  • Scrutinise output to ensure data is correct/accurate
  • Provide overviews to teams on how functionality works
  • Perform system testing if applicable
  • Support roll-out of significant system changes to teams

New Client Take-ons:

  • Assist in collation of process requirements
  • Assist in preparations for Pseudo Live Testing
  • Support teams during Pseudo and once the client is live

Processing support / cover:

  • Obtain, and maintain a good of knowledge of processes for supported teams
  • Complete where required 'back to the floor' training/processing to keep up to date on current processes, in addition to identifying gaps/areas of improvement
  • Maintain a flexible approach to supporting other teams such as the Operational Remediation team, assisting with processing as required.
  • Answer technical queries on processes from internal/external parties
  • Implement process improvements/enhancements for BAU teams
  • Monitor Dist Tools inbox for daily maintenance of internal excel tools
  • To carry out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed

Ideal Candidate

  • IOC or equivalent, or commitment to study for IOC or equivalent.
  • Good keyboard skills and intermediate/advanced knowledge of MS Office packages.
  • Good Verbal reasoning and numeric skills.
  • Ability to analyse and appraise work, to identify potential areas of concern that could lead to risk.
  • Detailed knowledge of PEP, ISA, Unit Trust, OEIC or Investment Trust administration
  • Excellent Excel/Data Management skills
