Main Responsibilities

The Fund Events Senior Manager will have responsibility for the following activities:

  • Fund mergers, closures, conversions, launches for all clients
  • Dividends processing
  • Corporate Actions Processing
  • Management Fees Processing

Technical Support Team:

  • Effectively coordinating and delivering Management Company driven change such as new clients and Offloads
  • Supporting internal change initiatives
  • Representing Asset Servicing at project meetings and ensuring Operational Readiness is delivered to a high standard across all projects
  • Having input into business processes and procedures ensuring regulations such as CASS
  • Highlighting and escalating areas of risk
  • Supporting the implementation of robust manual workarounds where automated solutions are not viable
  • Providing Business Owners with project updates

The remit of the area covers a number of activities which are key to our client's success as they relate to changes to their fund range which need to be completed timely and accurately with no room for error. It is therefore important that we have the right level of oversight for this team to provide the service required.

In addition this role requires the delivery of future transitional planning and departmental modelling, with an ability to build strong internal relationships with all areas.

  • Operational and Risk Management - Identify key risk areas and ensure suitable controls are implemented. Ensure processes and procedures are appropriately controlled, monitored and documented.
  • Service Delivery - Oversee and support teams to ensure SS&C meets client expectation in line with the Service Management Document (SMD), Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). In addition support client change teams, Inception and the support of projects to ensure successful implementation of change within Technical Dealing.
  • Continuous Improvement - Initiate, encourage and drive through improvements for processes within Technical Dealing.
  • Offshoring - Oversee and support both current and future offshored processes and associated client communications.
  • Communication - Develop effective working relationships with other operational areas, client relationship teams and all relevant areas within SS&C.
  • New Business - Support team with the intake of new business, assisting the project team with gap analysis, pseudo live and required activities leading up to live.

Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Experience in the Financial Services Investment Industry.
  • IOC qualifications
  • Ability to be flexible in terms of working in a team or self-starting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and client facing skills.
  • Strong demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Experience of operational management Problem Solving, accountability and planning skills.
  • Management experience and reporting to senior business owners.
  • Understanding of AOM model and the ability to analyse and report output from the system.
  • Availability for International travel.

Desirable

  • Exposure to CASS.
  • Good working knowledge of other DST operational areas.
  • Awareness of all line of business systems - FAST, Bluedoor, iFAST and Figaro processing.
  • Ability to create operation flows and operating model documentation.
