Financial Reporting Senior Associate - Bank Reconciliations

Daily responsibility for management companies bank accounts on the Percana operating systems. Ensuring postings are booked correctly across the general ledger through to bank clearance.

Perform FCA and CASS where applicable regulated Client Money calculations and monitor the Client Money accounts ensuring all are recorded correctly, with no breaches.

Ensure all income funds are recorded correctly on AWD. Understanding operating models and systems to effectively investigate and resolve issues in a timely accurate manner.

Main Responsibilities

  • A daily reconciliation needs to be completed for the following Accounts for allocated management companies for GBP and other currencies dependant on management company:

Dealing Bank Accounts, Client Money Accounts, Commission Accounts

  • Analyse and resolve all outstanding items. Report investigation/ action required for those items either by team, sister departments, bank and Trustees, where appropriate and chase to completion.
  • Complete reports with high volumes of clients and payments
  • Reconciling daily BACS income to submission files ensuring client money protection
  • Reconciling debit card entries from Ledger to Bank receipts
  • Utilising Frontier reconcilation system - reconciling cashbook and bank items through the Infor10 ledger and banking feed
  • Ensure Compliance to Client money regulations by performing and evidencing daily calculation and ensuring all receipts and payments are allocated on a daily basis.
  • Ensure work is accurate using effective narratives and allocation of responsibility for all outstanding reconciliation items to a standard suitable for reporting to clients and for internal statistical reporting
  • Completing outstanding item reports liaising with other operational areas to investigate and resolve open items
  • Completing monthly PIRAS submissions to ledger and bank account reconciliations
  • Monthly CMAR completion
  • Ensuring DST meets client expectation in line with Service Level Agreements and quality.
  • Ensure all processes are completed using established procedures, which are controlled, monitored and documented.
  • Communicate effectively and work in co-operation with others in order to maximise teamwork and achieve intended results

Ideal Candidate


  • A good understanding of reconciliations and double entry bookkeeping.
  • Knowledge of client money and CMAR reporting
  • Knowledge of PEP, ISA, Unit Trust and OEIC administration
  • Good knowledge of FCA regulatory environment
  • Good keyboard skills to include MS Office packages & systems used within the business
  • Good Verbal reasoning and numeric skills.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of responsibilities within the Financial Services Industry.
  • A good understanding of reconciliations and double entry bookkeeping.
  • Excellent Communication, Planning, & Organisational skills.
  • Analytical and Investigative skills. (Essential)
  • Ability to work without close supervision. (Essential)


  • Enhanced Systems Knowledge of Percana/Frontier/ FAST / Infor / FSU
  • Advanced Excel and Work Query
  • Experience of DST systems, Percana, Frontier, INFOR, AWD, FSU/General Ledger Structure.
