A great opportunity for a 1 year placement within DST, designed to give you invaluable industry experience and exposure in the world of Investment Operations. Based in Basildon & Chelmsford, our Client Services functions are a pivotal part of our business, and focus around client communication. This 1 year paid placement will give you exposure to queries from Clients, IFA's investors and other financial institutions, and will provide you with experience and skills to greater understand Investment Operations, business outsourcing, and customer service, and the different products within this fast paced and exciting industry

Main Responsibilities

The role will be covering either our administration (Written) or customer service (Voice) teams. Written are responsible for responding to enquiries from customers, Financial Advisors, Representatives and Management Companies received via post, email and web. Voice are responsible for answering incoming telephone queries form a wide variety of callers such as clients, IFA's (Independent Financial Advisors), investors and other financial institutions. You will support account servicing questions and raise appropriate work, to request investigations, give portfolio valuations and update customer account details. Within either role you will gain a great understanding of the different areas of the business, having to be aware of a great number of different processes and procedures across the organisation.

Ideal Candidate

  • Currently studying a relevant degree
  • Some customer services experience preferred but no essential
  • Organised and able to work on own initiative
  • Willingness to learn
