A great opportunity for a 1 year placement within DST, designed to give you invaluable industry experience and exposure in the world of Investment Operations. This 1 year paid placement will give you exposure to queries from Clients, IFA's investors and other financial institutions, and will provide you with experience and skills to greater understand Investment Operations, business outsourcing, and customer service, and the different products within this fast paced and exciting industry.

Main Responsibilities


The Registration team registers all legal documentation relating to the death of a client. These include Death Certificates, Grant of Probate, Letters of Administration and Certificates of Confirmation.

The team also provides date of death valuations, distribution and historical account information to the person or firm of Solicitors that are dealing with the settlement of the deceased's estate. Once Grant of Probate has been received, the team ensure that any distributions/redemption proceeds due to the account are paid in accordance with instructions received.

They are also responsible for checking that we have received acceptable documentation to update the account, also to create additional work if required. Once the account is updated then a letter will be sent providing information. Due to the sensitive nature of our letters great care needs to be taken, which leads to our strong emphasis on quality, as all work is quality checked.

DCS Written Enquiries Technical

As a department we strive to deliver a first class service to our clients and always put them at the heart of everything we do. Our client base is a mixture of large UK and oversees nominee clients.

Your role will be to service the Distributor Clients enquiries through Webchat, email, outbound telephone calls (KANA) and also AWD work created by other departments. Delivering in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Ideal Candidate

  • Currently studying a relevant degree
  • Some customer services experience preferred but no essential
  • Organised and able to work on own initiative
  • Willingness to learn
