Client Money Reporting Expert Associate

Summary

To produce Dealing, Distribution and Client Money account reconciliations and Client Money Daily calculations for multiple bank accounts for a number of mancos, investigating outstanding items and arranging remedial action to clear the items within deadlines. Further responsibility includes the monitoring of the quality control function relating to IFDS off shore operation and performing Quality Checks on these reconciliations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Daily processes are completed for the following Bank Accounts for all Management companies:

Dealing Bank Accounts

Client Money Accounts

Client Money Gone Away Accounts

Client Money Distribution Accounts

  • Analyse the outstanding items into defined categories. Ensure investigation of those items either by team, sister departments, bank and Trustees where appropriate and chase to completion.
  • Ensure Compliance to Client Money regulations by reviewing and checking evidencing of daily calculation and ensuring all receipts and payments are allocated on a daily basis.
  • Chase all reconciliation items to completion to ensure no outstanding items are over twenty days old.
  • Provide technical support to the team
  • Check and review validity of statistics for internal reporting, and check all narratives for outstanding reconciliation items are to a standard suitable for reporting to clients.
  • Ensuring IFDS meets client expectation in line with Service Level Agreements and quality.
  • Provide training/ coaching to less experienced staff when required.
  • Escalate all relevant issues via Team Leader in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively and work in co-operation with others in order to maximise teamwork and achieve intended results
  • Accountable for ensuring you are aware of your individual objectives link to Corporate Goals.
  • Accountable for identifying your own Learning and Development needs.

Ideal Candidate

  • IOC or equivalent, or commitment to study for IAQ or equivalent. (Strongly Preferred)
  • Basic keyboard skills to include awareness of MS Office packages. (Essential)
  • Good Verbal reasoning and numeric skills. (Essential)
  • Analytical and Investigative skills. (Essential)
  • Ability to work without close supervision. (Essential)
  • Experience in Financial Services Investment Industry. (Strongly Preferred)
  • Advanced Excel and Work Query (Desirable)
