A fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing, global financial services employer with two offices and 800 employees in Stirling....and growing!

Join us as an Apprentice with full training and support from day one.

IFDS offers a fully paid Apprenticeship leading to an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in 'Providing Financial Services' and the first paper of the globally recognised IOC qualification. All training is via E -Portfolios/webinar/on the job. No attendance at college is needed and you will be amongst many other current and former Apprentices so with great support! Upon successful completion of your Apprenticeship an internal development scheme awaits you at IFDS and with it the ability to climb our career ladder further....Where will it take you?

We normally have Apprenticeship vacancies across several different departments at Stirling including:

Client Care, Company Pensions and Client Experience

Client Care (CC) - are responsible for processing all servicing queries for personal pensions, savings and investments and protection plans which have been issued and no longer at New Business stage (NBS)

  • Client Experience (CE) - are responsible for Change of Address processing including Gone Aways, Online Registration and queries relating to problems with this and the online site. This includes Data Cleanse work and the multisite functionality. They ensure the Wealth Accounts are sent out and deal with any queries relating to this together with the promotion of a one admin centre servicing.   • Company Pensions (CPS) - are responsible for processing all servicing queries for group personal pensions and executive pensions. More information can be found on the CPS process pages

New Business, Drawdown

  • New Business - are responsible for processing new business applications for life plans, investments bonds , personal pensions, trustee investment schemes, RP for Trustees etc
  • Drawdown - responsible for the processing of NBS & existing Drawdown Plans.

Unit Trust & ISA Partner & Client Care (Blue Door)

* Unit Trust & ISA Partner & Client Care Team are responsible for processing all account maintenance, client maintenance, AML dropouts, EBS dropouts, Rejections and Deceased work relating to unit trusts and ISAs. This work is split with Unit Trust & ISA Partner & Client Care Team Offshore Team. The Onshore Team deal with all Offshore Referrals, Escalations and Complaint Handling.

What do we need?

Standard Grade Mathematics and English Language Grade C or above (essential)
Some experience within an office and/or customer service environment (highly preferred)
A good telephone manner and excellent verbal communication skills (particularly for telephone-based roles)
A strong command of spelling and grammar with good letter-writing skills (particularly for written and email based roles)
Good general computer skills including basic Word, Excel and email (plus any experience of using an in-house database is a bonus)
The ability to work to daily/weekly deadlines and follow strict processes
Strong accuracy and attention to detail with a keen emphasis on the quality of your work
Good communication skills
Above all the desire to learn and an eagerness to begin a career in the financial services sector!
